The playful caption sets the tone for what appears to be a track rooted in the familiar frustrations of watching someone make questionable relationship choices. With its humorous message and relatable theme, “Vuka (Batlao Hurda)” looks set to turn a common experience into a musical moment.

Rouge has enlisted longtime collaborator Wichi1080 to handle production. The producer previously worked on “Juicy,” her collaboration with Nadia Nakai and Moozlie, which brought together some of South African hip-hop’s prominent female voices. This time, Rouge joins forces with Ayanda Jiya, whose smooth and soulful vocals are expected to bring a different flavour to the record alongside the rapper’s sharp delivery.

The single will be released through David Gresham Records under an exclusive licence from Rouge and will be available on major streaming platforms.

Following the release of “Juicy,” Rouge is keeping the momentum going with another collaboration, this time pairing her rap style with Ayanda Jiya’s distinctive R&B sound. With “Vuka (Batlao Hurda),” she draws inspiration from everyday situations, delivering a message that many listeners may recognise from their own circles.

“Vuka (Batlao Hurda)” drops this Friday, October 23.
