Released on Sunday, October 18, the video brings fresh energy to a record that has continued to make its presence felt across Pretoria and beyond. Mochen announced the release on Instagram, directing listeners to YouTube for the long-awaited visuals alongside his collaborator, Loatinover Pounds.

First released as a single on December 5, 2025, “MDFKA (Winnie The Pooh)” quickly established itself as a street favourite, powered by a hard-hitting, hypnotic instrumental produced by Loatinover Pounds. Its infectious chants, particularly “Re phela se motherfucker” and the memorable “Mantaga o kare Fritaga,” helped give the track its unmistakable identity, while both rappers delivered unapologetic verses rooted in the attitude and energy of Pretoria’s North Side.

The song’s playful title, which references the beloved childhood character Winnie the Pooh, contrasts with the record’s gritty production and raw lyrical delivery. That combination helped it stand out, eventually earning a place on Mochen’s debut album, NORTH Vol. 1 (The Prophecy). The track has since surpassed one million streams on Spotify and one million views on YouTube, marking a significant milestone for the Pretoria collaboration.

Anticipation for the music video had been building for months, with listeners eager to see the record translated into a visual experience. Mochen fuelled the excitement on Saturday, October 17, sharing a teaser accompanied by the caption, “Bout time @LoatinoverPound.” The preview hinted at the imminent release before the full video arrived the following day. Loatinover Pounds also amplified the official announcement, further highlighting the partnership behind the record.

Behind the scenes, the video was directed by Solomon Mahiane and Goitseone Phaloane, with Katography handling production. Hlalefo Molakeng served as producer, while Katlego Samatha took charge of both cinematography and editing. Additional contributions across set design, behind-the-scenes coverage and production assistance helped bring the visual together.

Beyond its streaming milestones, “MDFKA (Winnie The Pooh)” represents the sound and identity of Pretoria’s North Side, with Mochen and Loatinover Pounds delivering a collaboration that has resonated with listeners since late 2025. The arrival of the official video now gives the record a new dimension, allowing audiences to experience the song beyond the speakers and playlists where it has continued to circulate.
