THE COMPLETE PICTURE

About the project

South African Maskandi artist Ojakalasi released Move On, a five-track EP, on 30 April 2026 through Zulu Wave. The project offers a compact collection of songs for listeners following contemporary Maskandi music and the latest releases from South African artists. Across the EP, Ojakalasi collaborates with performers including Bhambatha, Maqatha, Lwazi Mngadi, Thabiso Masuku, Aphiwe Sithukuthezi, and Asiphe Sithukuthezi. With a total runtime of approximately 18 minutes, the release provides a short listening experience while giving fans several collaborations to discover. The title track, “Move On,” stands out as the central song of the project and features Bhambatha.

The EP begins with “kuleyo mnyango,” featuring Lwazi Mngadi, Thabiso Masuku, Aphiwe Sithukuthezi, and Asiphe Sithukuthezi. The second track is “Move On,” featuring Bhambatha alongside the same group of collaborators. The tracklist continues with “Ama Player,” followed by “Ngingalindele,” featuring Maqatha, and closes with “Intandane,” which also features Maqatha. This five-song sequence brings together multiple performers across the project, giving each recording its own combination of credited artists. The release keeps the focus on Ojakalasi while introducing listeners to the musicians contributing to the EP.

For fans searching for the Ojakalasi Move On EP tracklist, the project offers five Maskandi songs to explore, from “kuleyo mnyango” to “Intandane.” Its short format makes it suitable for listeners who want to discover a complete release in one sitting, while the featured performances provide several reasons to revisit individual tracks. Whether you already follow Ojakalasi or are looking for new South African Maskandi music, Move On is a release worth adding to your music discovery list. The combination of Bhambatha and Maqatha appearances with contributions from other collaborators makes this EP a useful introduction to the artist's 2026 catalogue.
