Lord Script - Umoya ft. Efelow & issi

Behind the visuals

Lord Script has brought WTF Efelow and issi together for “Umoya,” a new South African hip-hop collaboration accompanied by a music video release. The visual gives the three artists a platform to present the record beyond streaming, adding another chapter to Lord Script’s growing catalogue of collaborative releases. Announced for 23 October 2026, “Umoya” connects three voices associated with the evolving trap and rap movement in South Africa. Its title, which can refer to spirit or wind in isiZulu, adds a meaningful cultural layer to a release rooted in the artist’s Durban identity.

For Lord Script, “Umoya” continues a run of releases that connect his music to Umlazi, Durban, and the wider South African hip-hop scene. The rapper has developed a recognisable identity through projects including Our Father and The Undeniable EP, blending trap influences with personal storytelling, Southern pride, and local cultural references. His earlier collaborations have included Kwesta, Tony Dayimane, Usimamane, Sastii, LokiTunez, and Okmalumkoolkat. Bringing WTF Efelow and issi into the “Umoya” release creates another meeting point between established collaborators and artists contributing to the current generation of local rap.

The presence of WTF Efelow and issi gives the song and video a broader collaborative identity. issi, also known as Mcwijo or Slwane, has continued building his own catalogue through a confident rap approach and projects such as Dawn ~ The Beginning. WTF Efelow adds a third perspective to the record, completing a line-up that brings different creative voices together. For viewers and listeners, the “Umoya” music video offers an opportunity to experience the collaboration in a visual format while following the next move from Lord Script and his expanding circle of South African hip-hop talent.
