VIEW ONCE

About the project

South African Maskandi artist Vikiconsi brings listeners the VIEW ONCE project, a three-track release showcasing his contribution to the Maskandi music scene. The project features a concise collection of songs, including the title track “View Once,” the collaboration “Umjol'omusha” featuring Govuza, and “Loluthando.” With its short tracklist, VIEW ONCE offers fans an easy way to explore more of Vikiconsi’s music while discovering a release that brings together solo performances and a guest appearance.

The VIEW ONCE tracklist begins with “View Once,” followed by “Umjol'omusha” featuring Govuza, before closing with “Loluthando.” The three songs have a combined runtime of approximately 11 minutes, making the project a compact listening experience for fans of Maskandi and South African traditional music. The inclusion of Govuza adds a collaborative element to the collection, while the opening and closing tracks keep the focus on Vikiconsi. Each title contributes to the overall identity of the release without requiring listeners to commit to a lengthy album.

Music fans looking to discover new Maskandi songs can add VIEW ONCE by Vikiconsi to their listening list and explore the project in tracklist order. The release is a useful entry point for listeners who want to become more familiar with the artist’s catalogue and the sound of contemporary Maskandi music. Whether you are already following Vikiconsi or discovering his work for the first time, VIEW ONCE offers three tracks to explore, including the Govuza-assisted “Umjol'omusha.”
